New Clients

Welcome to Imperial Road Animal Hospital

New Client Registration Form

Thank you for considering us as your pet(s’) family veterinarian. If you have already set up an appointment with us for your pet(s) then welcome to the Imperial Road Animal Hospital family!

  • We strive to set all of our patients up for a successful visit.
  • We pride ourselves on being a progressive practice that adapts fear-free techniques when working with our patients.
  • We have a designated area for our feline patients to wait for their appointments, a feline-only examination room, lick mats for our canine patients, and we are always assessing our patients for signs of fear or anxiety and can prescribe anti-anxiety medication to aid them for future visits.
Booking fee for first time Clients:

To secure an appointment, we require payment of a $40 booking fee, by cash, debit (in clinic), or by credit card over the phone. This fee will be applied to the cost of the scheduled appointment once it occurs but will be forfeited in the event of a no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours notice.

We would like to take a few moments to review our client policies so that we provide you with the best client experience.

Please understand that these policies are not meant to penalize, but with a limited number of appointments each day, no-shows and short-notice cancellations mean unnecessary delays for pets in need of care.

What to Expect

1

Arrival

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we’ll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet.
2

Pet Medical History

In most cases, one of our registered veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor including vital parameters like pulse and respiration.
3

Examination

Then, one of our veterinarians will examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.
4

Communication

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.
5

Follow Up Care

Our veterinary technician will come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up.
6

Our Promise

Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.
